Time tested and effective, chemical precipitation works. Many of our industry sectors served have made considerable investments in this technology over the years. As our firm has evolved we have scaled down continuous flow precipitation technologies as a means to batch treat certain waste streams. Our batch reactors have controls packages that allow for the reaction to occur prior to any discharge taking place. This simple innovation means less risk for a company considering chemical precipitation.

Food Grade Hollow Fiber Microfiltration system
Hollow fiber cartridges operate from the inside to the outside during filtration. This means that process fluid (retentate) flows through the center of the hollow fiber and permeate passes through the fiber wall to the outside of the membrane fiber. Tangential flow can help limit membrane fouling. Other operating techniques that can be employed with hollow fiber membrane systems include back flushing with permeate and retentate reverse flow.

Applications:

  1. Protein Separation
  2. Wine/Juice Clarification
  3. Pharmaceutical drug processing
  4. Diary Processing

High recovery 2-pass RO water recycle system
High recovery 2-pass RO water recycle

Reverse Osmosis is used the world over for everything from point source water purification to municipal drinking water supply purification, few technologies are so scalable and reliable, when so much is at stake. Our engineering process has taken the science of water recycle and applied it to industrial waste water streams. LT Technologies is one of the few companies in the world with operational water and wastewater recycle systems using Reverse Osmosis Technologies.

We have achieved this in part by working with innovative membrane manufacturers, to develop solutions that make this technology viable in the most challenging mixed waste stream environments. As the substrate quality and design continues to evolve and improve, so do our capabilities of systemizations that make sense, in today's water challenged environments.

The exciting world of kinetic exchange has long been very attractive to LT Technologies as well as our clients. Few technologies are so comprehensive in the way they achieve desired purification with minimal cost and equipment. The challenge lies in having the sophistication to effectively systematize the technology to be successful in environments with variable contaminant loading, as well as utilizing the correct pretreatment technologies to protect and enhance the resins efficacy in such an environment.

We work hand in hand with the most innovative, highest quality and capacity resins for water and rinse water recycling. As an evolving and rapidly expanding technology we are at the forefront of cutting edge design and cost saving measures in our systematizations, that allow any manufacturing environment to consider Ion Exchange a feasible option to meet their water recycle, compliance and commodity recovery goals.

The never-ending need of reducing water consumption and discharge can be alleviated with the recycling of process waters. Through a dual bed (cation & anion) ion exchange system, economically these goals can be achieved. There are many positives in recycling industrial process waters.

The savings on water usage and discharge permitting are the two most significant. Another benefit many North American companies are not aware of is consistent rinsing temperatures. As water enters a in midwinter months, cold temperatures can cause inconsistent rinsing of parts. The general need to conserve on water consumption and discharge is an aspect that should never be overlooked.

L T Technologies, Inc. offers a wide array of standard or custom tailored deionization units. LT Technologies is your avenue to recycling and recovering your aqueous solutions.

Sales intro

Some of the most versatile and durable treatment systems on the market utilize UF technology. The many different molecular weight spectrums the technology can handle is what makes it so appealing to a number of industries. Few mechanical separation technologies utilizing microporous substrate that can successfully separate oil from water and still remain effective and cleanable, Ultrafiltration can. High Grit waste water, as well as water with oils contamination can successful be treated and recycled using LT Technologies UF systems. With many installation successes we are a leading in UF technology development and implementation.

Different Types:

Tubular
Tubular Ultrafiltration Membranes provide excellent capabilities for filtering and concentrating difficult process water and waste streams. Tubular membrane filters feature a wide center channel design, and can handle high concentrations of suspended solids with ease, allowing the passage of even large solids without plugging your system. The ability to handle feed streams with widely varying compositions and characteristics makes these reliable, long-lasting membranes and excellent replacements in nearly any existing in-plant system. Ultrafiltration tubular membranes concentrate oily wastewater, Latex and juice and pulp.

Applications:

  1. Oily wastewater mop water recovery
  2. Metal working
  3. Parts cleaner recovery

Applications:

  1. Organic reduction for reverse osmosis pre-treatment
  2. Light emulsified oil removal
  3. Food and beverage

Spiral
Spiral wound construction makes use of flat sheet membrane, which is an organic polymeric membrane cast onto a support fabric. The flat sheet membrane is enclosed between layers of feed spacer and permeate carrier materials, forming a leaf. Multiple leaves are rolled into a cylinder, and attached to a permeate tube. Spiral wound construction allows the membrane to perform filtration duties only, there are no structural component requirements imposed on the membrane. Spiral construction uses the support fabric, feed spacer and permeate carrier to encase the membrane, providing support much like a reverse osmosis membrane.

Applications:

  1. Dairy
  2. Organic reduction prior for reverse osmosis pre-treatment
  3. Food and beverage

Mobile Recovery Filtration system
Mobile Recovery Filtration system

Nanofiltration, on the spectrum of separation technologies, is one of the most versatile membrane options, in that it is effective in both the ionic as well as molecular range of filtration. This capability makes it a comprehensive solution for wastes that are more challenging or as a pretreatment insurance policy, designed to always protect a purely ionic system such as Reverse Osmosis. It is a wonderful staged filtration technology that can increase the lifespan and share the burden on challenging waste streams where the ultimate filtration goal is the removal of dissolved solids for the purposes of making potable water, on the pure water side, or the removal of multivalent metals in the waste waters. LT Technologies Nanofiltration systems also work extremely well with high oxidizing potential streams, where few membrane options were thought to exist.  As a compliance tool or pure water system protector, our systemizations offer incredible value and a thoughtful, flexible design.
